Who We Are
MiMaji Foundation is a non-profit initiative headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. We work to bring clean, transparent water access to underserved communities across East Africa. This privacy policy applies to mimaji.org.
What We Collect
Almost nothing. This site is a static website hosted on GitHub Pages. We do not run our own servers, we do not have user accounts, and we do not store any data about you.
- No tracking pixels. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party analytics.
- No cookies. We do not set cookies or use local storage to identify visitors.
- No ads. We do not run any advertising.
- No profiling. We do not build profiles of visitors or share data with third parties.
Contact Form
When you submit our contact form, the data (name, email, subject, message) is sent to our email inbox through a service called Formspree. Formspree acts as a messenger. See their privacy policy for details.
We use the information you send us only to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to a mailing list unless you explicitly ask to be added.
WhatsApp Contact
When you click a WhatsApp link on this site, your device opens WhatsApp and sends a message to our number (+254 758 434 076). WhatsApp is provided by Meta and has its own privacy policy. We only see the messages you choose to send us.
External Links
We link to the MiMaji water delivery platform and other partners. Once you leave mimaji.org, their privacy policies apply, not ours.
Server Logs
Our hosting provider (GitHub Pages) keeps standard web server logs for security and abuse prevention. These logs are controlled by GitHub and covered by the GitHub Privacy Statement. We do not access or store these logs ourselves.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Your Rights
Because we collect almost nothing, most data rights do not apply. If you have contacted us and want the records of our correspondence deleted, email foundation@mimaji.org and we will remove them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Check back occasionally.
